How does fungal nail treatment work?

Light is absorbed by the water in the skin underneath and around the nail, cresting heat. This helps to destroy the dermatophytes and eliminate the fungal infection. The laser is placed on the nail and a short pulse of light is released. The entire nail bed and nail matrix is then treated in this way.

How many sessions are needed?

The number of treatments varies depending on the fungal nail, although typically 2-6 treatments are needed for optimum results.
